Description

PURPOSE: This Model Guidance outlines procedures for modification of an ambulance with the purpose of protecting environmental surfaces and EMS personnel from exposure to potentially infectious body fluids when transporting a patient confirmed to have a high consequence infectious disease.
SCOPE: This Model Guidance applies to all ground EMS personnel and ambulance operators who transport patients confirmed to have a high consequence infectious disease.
