Neonates
Neonates
We know that neonates born to mothers with Ebola virus disease (EVD) can acquire EVD perinatally. While rare, there have been recent reports of neonates surviving through the disease (Telegraph June 2018, WHO January 2019).
With proper planning, training, and preparedness, we can make this event less rare should a neonate with EVD present in the U.S. The resources in this exhibit will provide a foundation for any programs developing their neonatal plans and protocols.
