Description: This interactive guide describes biosafety techniques for EMS situations. When an EMS patient may be infected with a novel respiratory pathogen it's important to identify their symptoms and isolate them from others before and during transportation. After transportation, EMS medics should inform other health care personnel (HCPs) involved in patient care by providing their assessment and other health information.
